London Sightseeing Taxi Tours (“we”, “our” or “us”) operates the LSSTT Driver Portal mobile application. This notice explains how we use personal information about authorised drivers who use the app.
Who we are and how to contact us
London Sightseeing Taxi Tours is responsible for the personal information described in this notice. Our head office is 124 City Road, London EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom. Email info@londonsightseeingtaxitours.com with privacy questions or requests.
Information the app uses
- Account and contact information: your name, email address, user ID and login information.
- Location: precise real-time location while you are logged in, have granted location permission and set your status to available.
- Driver and vehicle documents: photographs or files you upload, such as driving-licence and vehicle documents.
- Work records: availability, job assignments, status updates and job history.
- Technical information: app and device information needed for security, support and fault diagnosis.
Why we use it and our lawful bases
We use this information to authenticate drivers, manage accounts, check credentials, allocate and administer bookings, show available drivers to authorised dispatchers, communicate about work, keep the service secure and improve the app. We rely on performance of our agreement with you, our legitimate interests in operating a safe and effective dispatch service, and legal obligations that apply to driver and booking records. Where consent is legally required, you may withdraw it at any time.
Location controls
Location tracking occurs only when you are logged in, have granted location permission and your availability is set to available. You can stop it by changing your status to unavailable or by revoking location permission in your device settings. This may prevent the dispatch team from assigning location-dependent jobs.
Who receives the information
Location and job information is available only to authorised people who need it for dispatch and administration. We use Google Firebase for app hosting, authentication and data services, and may use trusted technical suppliers that process information under our instructions. We do not sell driver information or share it with third parties for their own marketing. We may disclose information where the law requires it.
International processing and security
Some technology suppliers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where this happens, we require an appropriate legal safeguard, such as an adequacy regulation or approved contractual protections. We use access controls, encrypted connections and supplier security measures designed to protect the information.
How long we keep it
We keep account and operational information while your account is active and afterwards only for as long as needed for legal, accounting, safety, dispute-resolution and legitimate business purposes. Documents and location records are deleted or anonymised when they are no longer required for those purposes.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct or erase your information, restrict or object to its use, and receive certain information in a portable format. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw that consent. To make a request or complain to us, email info@londonsightseeingtaxitours.com.
You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint/.
Children
The Driver Portal is for authorised drivers aged 18 or over and is not intended for children.
Changes
We may update this notice when the app or our legal obligations change. The latest version and update date will always appear on this page.
